As we live in a rapidly and constantly changing technological age, our aim is for our pupils to be safe, knowledgeable and adept at using a range of computing skills to prepare them for beyond school.
There are three key strands in Computing: Information Technology, Digital Literacy and Computer Science. During their time at Four Oaks, all pupils will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of these strands in specifically planned Computing lessons using a variety of digital devices and software such as iPads, data loggers, a green screen, Zu3d and more.
Pupils will learn how to communicate, collaborate and present information, ensuring a full understanding of safe use of the Internet. They will be taught how to research, gather and handle statistical information. They will use different programming, and design tools and toys to control robots and animations. As a result, they will become increasingly more independent, innovative and confident at using technology.
