Year 6 Turning Japanese 2014
On Monday 10th March a group of 18 Japanese secondary school students visited Four Oaks Primary School to work with Year 6 and the pupils were able to exchange ideas, songs and dances about their respective countries. The Year 6 pupils delivered a presentation about our school, and showed the Japanese girls a Take Ten routine. The Japanese students sang songs, performed a tea ceremony, and then showed the Year 6 pupils how to write Japanese calligraphy and learn how to fold paper shapes, passing on their origami skills.
Below is a video and a photographic compilation of this exciting and very different afternoon in school. We hope you enjoy it and that for Year 6 they bring back some happy memories !
