The Highclare Writing Competition 2016
This term the children from Year 4 and Year 6 were invited to take part in the annual Highclare School Writing Competition. The rules were that you had to write an original poem, not more than 40 lines in length, about an imaginary place, a special place, or just a place that was very special to you !
When the results came out we were very excited because one of our Year 6 pupils had won the whole competition overall and four of our Year 4 pupils were also highly commended. At the start of December they all went off to Highclare School for an amazing awards presentation so why not click on the photos below to have a look at what happened.
