Kensuke's Kingdom Art

The children in Year 5 have been studying the book "Kensuke's Kingdom" written by award winning author Michael Morpurgo. In it, a boy called Michael gets knocked overboard from his parents' yacht during a storm and gets washed up on a deserted island with Stella, his dog. He finds that the only human on the island is an old Japanese man named Kensuke and the story tells of their growing friendship. The children were given the task of using pastels to show Michael and Stella looking out of their cave at the island paradise that becomes their home, so why not look at the gallery of fantastic art work below.
