Tanzanian School Life
School life in Mang'ula, Mgeta and Tumaini is a world apart from school life at Four Oaks Primary. They may have a classroom but it doesn't look anything like the rooms in our school. They have long desks to share, one textbook between five or six children, outside toilets, and no glass in their window frames. The maps that they use to learn about the great wide world are painted on their school walls, and what books they have are tattered and old.
Just think, if we want a book then we just go to a book shelf and pick one up - we have glass in our windows, blinds to shade us from the sun, indoor toilets, and projectors to study maps of the world using the Internet !
Why not study the photographs of the three schools in Tanzania and see if you can see the differences !
