On Wednesday 1st July it will be ‘Transition Day’ across Birmingham, where Year 6 pupils in primary schools will spend the day at their new secondary schools. For us this means that most of Year 6 will either be at Arthur Terry for the day, or at the secondary school of their choice. This gives us the opportunity to move every other year group up to their new teacher in their new year group for the day.

As we always do, the children will come to school as usual and will be registered in their present classroom. We will then move them to their new classrooms, and they will find out who their new teacher for next year is going to be.

Whilst the children are having great fun, during the afternoon I will send all parents a letter revealing the plan for next year’s classes and where staff will be, by putting this on our School Jotter app.
