Y5 Stop Frame Animation
Over the last few weeks, James, one of our talented Year 5 pupils has worked for hours and hours to create a film all of his own using the technique called "stop frame animation". This involves taking pictures of individual frames with a figure or character and putting them into a sequence and then playing them all to create the illusion of movement. He used software called Pivot Stickfigure Animator to make his stick man come to life and recorded nearly 300 separate frames to create the super film playing in the window below.
Whilst you watch it try to imagine the amazing amount of work that has gone into its creation !
